Evening of healing planned

An evening event is planned for Wednesday, Oct. 10, to learn more about breast cancer healing.

Avenues of Healing is a special event presented by the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Rhode Island Hospital, The Miriam Hospital and Newport Hospital.

The evening will include a resource area, dinner and music, gift drawings, and a performance of Chemo Brain!. This inspirational play is produced and performed by the Healing Co-op, a nonprofit center celebrating and supporting the lives of women with cancer.

The event is open to the public, and runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 801 Greenwich Ave. in Warwick.
