Puppets at Gilbert Stuart Museum The Gilbert Stuart Museum is hosting a children's event called "Sunday at the Museum: Puppets on the Horizon," on Sunday, Sept. 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. Children and their families are invited to see the presentation by Sparky's Puppets in the Gilbert Stuart Meeting Room, play Colonial games on the museum grounds and go on a scavenger hunt on the Gilbert Stuart nature trail. Ben and Jerry's ice cream and lemonade will be served. Tickets are $2 per person for both the young and young at heart. Sparky's Puppets have performed in schools, libraries and festivals throughout New England for over 20 years. Children who attend are invited into the magical world of children's books, brought to life by colorful hand puppets. Children of all ages are enchanted with these lively characters that dramatize stories of mystery, friendship and laughter. There will be three performances to entertain everyone in attendance. For more information, call Peg O'Connor at 294-3001. |
