Tourney to benefit police dogs

A charity that provides bulletproof vests to police and sheriff K- 9 units will hold a benefit golf tournament on Friday, Oct. 26.

The Rhode Island Vest-A-Dog organization will hold their 7th annual Glowball golf tourney at the Jamestown Golf Course. Sign in begins at 4:45 p.m., a K-9 demo by the Rhode Island Sheriff's Department at 5:45 and a shotgun start at 6:15 p.m.

The cost to enter is $45 per player, which includes nine holes of golf, a glowball and glowstick, T-shirt and food.
