An aircraft carrier mission briefing

Friends of the Jamestown Library will sponsor a look at the fascinating beginnings and detailed history of the aircraft carrier today, Thursday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m.

Maj. Mike Coletta, USMC, a native Rhode Islander and current student at the Naval War College in Newport, will give the presentation using first-hand knowledge of these airports on water. Maj. Coletta has extensive experience flying F/A-18 aircraft including flying from aircraft carriers in day, night, and combat situations. Highly decorated, Coletta will speak of how ships and airplanes have come together in such a special way.
