Cited for Cold War service
Joseph A. Pizzi of Jamestown recently received a document, signed by former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, recognizing him for his service during the Cold War. Pizzi, now 85, served as a corporal in the U.S. Army from November 1942 to January 1946. Originally from Providence, Pizzi has lived in Jamestown, with his wife Mary, for 12 years.
