AARP offers driver safety program

AARP is offering two different options to participate in their Driver Safety Program.

A classroom version of the course will be offered in Narragansett on Nov. 14 and 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The program will be held at the Narragansett Community Center, 53 Manford Rd., Narragansett.

They are also offering an eighthour online course. The course may be taken from the comfort of home at a self-pace.

The classroom version cost is $10 and the online version is $15.95 for AARP members and $19.95 for non-members.

By Rhode Island state law, any driver over age 55 who takes the course is eligible for an insurance discount.
