Mansion showcases Favorite Things for holidays exhibit

Blithewold Mansion, Gardens and Arboretum in Bristol will come alive for the holidays with an exhibit brimming with favorite things for everyone.

"Christmas at Blithewold 2007…a few of my favorite things," opens Nov. 23 and continues through Dec. 30, Wednesday thru Sunday, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Each room is lavishly decorated in a different theme, to rekindle memories of holidays past and brighten the spirits of all who enter.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors/full-time students, $6 for youths (6-17). Children under 6 and Blithewold members are free.

The price of admission includes nightly performances at 6:30 p.m. and children's story time every Wednesday at 4 p.m. Tea is served in the dining room on weekday afternoons at 2 and 3 p.m. Tickets for tea are an additional $10 for visitors to the Mansion, on a firstcome basis. Guests will sit and relax surrounded by the sumptuous decorations.
