Vietri wins conference honors

Mariah Vietri celebrates scoring a point on her field hockey squad.
The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) named Jamestown resident Mariah Vietri to its 2007 All-ODAC Honorable Mention field hockey team. A sophomore on the Roanoke College team, Vietri was one of two Roanoke Maroons earning this honor. Vietri played a major role on the starting squad in the 2007 season. Playing her second year in the attack position, Vietri scored three goals, two in consecutive games to finish fourth in scoring for the team. The ODAC was founded in 1976 and includes 14 NCAA Division III colleges and universities in Virginia.

Vietri played field hockey all four years of high school at Rocky Hill School in East Greenwich. She lives in Jamestown with her parents, Tom Vietri and Ellen Conway-Vietri, and paternal grandparents, Tom and Janice Vietri.
