Drunk driving charged

Darien Petit, 52, of 29 Riptide St., was charged on Nov. 16 with first offense drunk driving after an auto accident on Clarke Street. Police said he also refused to submit to a Breathalyzer test. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for Nov. 30 at Newport District Court, according to police.

Hit and run charged

Regina Walsh, 46, of Narragansett, was charged on Nov. 17 with failing to stop after an accident which resulted in damage to another vehicle. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for Nov. 30 at Newport District Court, police said.
