Roger C. Vaughn, 90

Roger C. Vaughn, 90, died Nov. 16, 2007 of renal failure. He was the husband of Mary Frances "Friday" Lyons. Born in Cuba, Mo., he was retired Navy commander and former college math instructor.

A 1935 graduate of Cuba High School, he attended the University of Missouri and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1940.

He served in World War II and the Korean War and retired from the Navy.

He spent his summers in Jamestown and will be buried in St. Matthew's Memorial Garden.

He is survived by his son, Roger Vaughn Jr., sisters, Gwen Bauer, Marjorie Bleckman, a brother, Douglas Vaughn, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
