Pottery show and sale this weekend

The Potters of Newport County 12th Annual Holiday Sale will be held at the Elks Lodge on the corner of Bellevue and Pelham in Newport this weekend.

The show runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday Nov. 25.

The popular show features eleven local clay artists including Jamestown resident Jillian Barber.

Returning this year is Harry Spring, Jan Anthony, Bev Blitzer, Hannelore Hutchison,

Susan Kremer, Thomas Ladd, Jan Metz, Brenda Wrigley Scott, and Dana Swist.

The show is free, and offers an eclectic array of both fancy and functional wares from highfired stoneware bowls, vases, and lamps, to ornate, colorful sea creatures, festive platters, and Christmas ornaments. For more information, call 423-2335.
