Garden club gets new officers

The Quononoquott Garden Club will install the 2008 club officers at their meeting on Monday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m. The meeting will be followed by the club's Christmas luncheon at the Conanicut Yacht Club.

The incoming board members are Jillian Meyer, president; Rita Antine, vice president; Joan Vessella, treasurer; and Linda Sullivan, secretary. These officers will preside at the April 2008 meeting when the club reconvenes after a three-month hiatus.

The outgoing officers include Gloria Westlake, president; Jillian Meyer, vice president; Rita Antine, secretary; and Joan Vessella, treasurer. The Rhode Island Federation of Garden Clubs president, Lynne Merrill, will attend the ceremony.
