Drunk driving and

multiple charges

Norma Ibarlucca, 49, of 1 Spanker St., was charged on Dec. 5 with second offense drunk driving, refusal to take a Breathalyzer test, reckless driving, resisting arrest, and simple assault. Off-duty police officers heard a loud crash on Conanicus Avenue near the recreation center and saw a car driving on a walkway near benches in an area where vehicles are not allowed, police said.

Ibarlucca was held overnight at the police station and was taken to Newport District Court where she was arraigned on Dec. 6 and held at the ACI to await her next court appearance at Newport District Court on Dec. 18, according to police.
