SUPERIOR COURT PETITION TO FORECLOSE TAX

LIEN N. M. No. 2007-0653

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, AND TO OLIVE WATSON HOFFMAN, the Unknown Heirs of OLIVE WATSON HOFFMAN, and the Unknown Devisees of OLIVE WATSON HOFFMAN.

WHEREAS, a Petition has been presented to said Court by the Town of Jamestown, a Rhode Island Municipal corporation, to foreclose all rights of redemption from the lien proceedings described in said Petition in and concerning a certain parcel of land situated in the Town of Jamestown, County of Newport and State of Rhode Island, bounded and described in said Petition as follows:

That certain lot or parcel of land with all the building and improvements thereon situated on the easterly side of Conanicus Avenue in the Town of Jamestown, County of Newport and State of Rhode Island, bounded and described as follows: Westerly on Conanicus Avenue, formerly known as Walcott Avenue, four hundred twenty eight (428) feet; Southerly on land now or lately of Henry J. Rhett Estate about thirty-one (31) feet; Easterly on Narragansett Bay; Northerly on land now or lately of Mary H. Horgan along a line drawn in continuation of the northerly line of Friendship Street about twentyseven (27) feet.

Containing about one thousand one hundred sixty four (1164) square feet; be all said measurements more or less or however otherwise the same may be bounded or described.

Meaning and intending to describe the premises conveyed to Olive Watson Hoffman by deed dated August 22, 1932 and recorded in the Jamestown Land Evidence Records in Deed Book 29 at Page 523, reference to which is made for a more particular description.

Tax Assessor's Plat 9 Lot 361.

If you desire to make any objection or defense to said Petition, you or your attorney must file a written appearance and an Answer under oath, setting forth clearly and specifically your objections or defense to each part of said Petition, in the Office of the Superior Court, in Newport, on or before the 1st day of February, 2008, that you may then and there show cause, if any, why the prayer of the Petitioner should not be granted. Unless your appearance is filed by or for you, your default will be recorded, the said Petition will be taken as confessed, and you will be forever barred from contesting said Petition or any Decree entered thereon. In addition to the usual service of this Notice as required by law, it is ordered that the foregoing Citation be published forthwith, once per week for three successive weeks in the Jamestown Press, a newspaper published in the Town of Jamestown, County of Newport and State of Rhode Island.

TOWN OF JAMESTOWN NOTICE OF ADMINISTRATIVE

DECISION

An application for modification has been submitted to the Zoning Enforcement Officer, pursuant to Article 6, Section 609 of the Jamestown Zoning Ordinance. The Zoning Enforcement Officer has decided that the request is consistent with the requirements of 609. You have the right to file a written objection to this determination and, if timely filed, the request for modification shall be denied. If no written objections are received within thirty (30) days of January 10, 2008, the modification shall be granted.

Application of Ross & Brenda Williams, whose property is located at 135 Longfellow Rd., and further identified as Tax Assessor's Plat 8, Lot 298 for a variance from Article 3, Section 82-609 to build a new garage 7'6" from the south property line and 7'6" from the west property line where 10' is required. Said property is located in a R20 zone and contains 12,542 sq. ft.

If granted, this will allow this establishment to continue to be open from 5:00 AM to 2:00 AM daily (RIGL 5-24-1 allows this establishment to be open until 2:00 AM).
