Thank you to Santa's elves
How quickly the holiday season comes upon us, then poof, it's over. But, wow, it takes an endless team of volunteers workings as individuals and in numerous groups and committees over many weeks to make Christmas in Jamestown so very special. I would like to extend a big thank you to those individuals that helped me with the several pieces of Christmas Island that I chaired.
For the community Christmas tree cutting, transport to the town square and cable up, I thank Matt, Gary and Pete Largess, Mark Baker, Steve Froberg, Pres Froberg, Doug Chapman, Tom Lafazia and Don Ostrander.
I a thankful to Dick Allphin and his vessel Nancy B, Mo Mancini and elves Katie Rosender and Aryan Burns for help with Santa arriving by boat.
For taking pictures with Santa, I thank Kati Munger and greeter Agnes Filkins. Stop by and pick up the photos, they are free.
I thank Steve Munger, Eddie Coughlan and Dick Wing for constructing the Shoreby Hill manger and Jay and Jack Brittain, Rick and Jill Anderson, May Munger and Pres Froberg for stringing the lights on the Shoreby Hill pageant tree and erecting the lighting for the pageant.
Finally, I expect that you will see many of these same folks later this week taking all of this down and packing it away somewhere for next year.
Thank you all for making Jamestown so special.
