Rhodes work on display at library

The artwork currently on exhibit at the Jamestown Philomenian Library was created in the last year by Evelyn Thistle Rhodes and the participants in her plein air workshops, which Rhodes has led for the last 30 years.

These pieces showcase new works of old familiar landscapes and landmarks including Beavertail Lighthouse, Neale Farm, Ft. Getty, Newport Vineyards, Dutch Island, Mackerel Cove, Third Beach, and Wickford scenes among others. The workshop's Jamestown exhibitors are Emily Boenning, Whit Brown, Maryanne England, Amy Friedman, Eleanor Gravdahl, Katy Grimes, Judy Knight, and Rhodes.

The exhibit is sponsored by the Conanicut Island Art Association and is open to the public during regular library hours until Feb. 12.
