JCC announces concert dates
      Island residents are asked to mark their calendar for the Jamestown Community Chorus' annual spring concert to be held the evening of Friday, May 2, and the afternoon of Sunday, May 4, at the Central Baptist Church. The concert is entitled "The Jamestown Community Chorus Goes to the Movies.

Bridge history lecture set
      Jamestown historian Sue Maden will tell the history of the Jamestown Bridge in a lecture at the Jamestown library on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. The talk coincides with a month long exhibit entitled Jamestown Bridge 1940-2007 Concept to Demolition that will showcase the 67-year history of the bridge - from its planning, construction, operation, closure, and demolition.

Youth volleyball league in session
      The Jamestown Recreation Department will host an open-play youth volleyball program on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Lawn Avenue School gym. The league is open to teens and adults. Netters are encouraged to come ready to play. The league is not instructional. For more information, contact the Jamestown Recreation Department at 423-7260.
