Town hall records
      Building permits Conanicut Marine Services received a permit on Jan. 16 to construct additions to an existing boat storage shed according to plan at 260 Conanicus Ave., work estimated to cost $215,000. Mary Vieira received a permit on Jan. 16 to replace a front and rear porch, install new windows, siding and roofing at 35 Plymouth Rd., work estimated to cost $40,000.

      Zeek-Hargis A daughter, Rylee Elizabeth Zeek- Hargis, was born on Nov. 16, 2007, at South County Hospital to Robert Hargis and Emily Zeek of North Kingstown. Grandparents are Greg and Dede Zeek of Jamestown and Jeannie and Michael Stanley of Cranston. Greatgrandparents are Anna Manni of Cranston and Dureen and Bob Bryer of Jamestown. She weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce.

Police Log
      Bench warrant violations charged Rye Satterly, 27, of North Kingstown was charged Jan. 21 with a bench warrant violation for failure to appear in court and failure to pay a fine to the court after police ran his license plate and stopped him on Route 138 West, police said.

      Fire runs 6:30 p.m., Jan. 17, All units responded to a drill at the fire station on Narragansett Ave. 1:20 p.m., Jan. 18, Engine 1 and Ladder 1 answered a false alarm on Watson Avenue. 12 a.m., Jan. 22, Cars 1 and 3 responded to a fuel oil odor call on Conanicus Avenue.
