Guild offers free demonstrations

The Portsmouth Arts Guild is holding its first Art-O-Rama open house on Sunday, Feb. 3, from 2 to 4 p.m. Instructors from the upcoming spring classes will be giving free demonstrations.

Visitors who register for classes during the open house will receive a 10-percent discount on tuition and a drawing for a chance to win a $50 credit toward any spring class will also be held.

Demonstrators include: Jay Egge, Encaustics; Wendy Crooks, Charcoal portrait from model; Jennifer Holmes, Pastels; Andrea Pumphrey, Graphite; Jan Armor, Digital Photography; Nicole Bertoline, Mosaics; Carol Lynn Hall, Watercolor and Kendra Ferreira, Colored pencil.

The Portsmouth Arts Guild Center for the Arts is located at 2679 East Main Rd., next to St. Paul's Church in Portsmouth. Regular gallery hours from March through December are Thursday through Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. Exhibits change monthly and are free and open to the public.
