Newport Hospital looking for volunteers

Newport Hospital needs new volunteers for its Caring Team. Volunteers for this team will be trained to offer patients hand massage, relaxation music, and simple art activities to decrease stress and promote healing.

There are also a variety of volunteer positions to be filled by people of all ages and backgrounds. Interested individuals are invited to attend an information session at the hospital today, Thursday, Jan. 31, from 5 to 6 p.m. to determine what volunteer role would be most enjoyable.

Families and friends can also apply for a volunteer assignment as a team if they wish. For more information and to register for an information session, call 845- 1635.
