Robert E. Healy, 70
Robert E. Healy, 70, of Pemberton Place, Jamestown, died Sunday Feb. 10, 2008 at the Phillip Hulitar Home and Hospice Intake Center, Providence. He was the husband of the late Gertrude (Jeonnote) Healy and Barbara Healy.
Mr. Healy was born in Attleboro, Mass., the son of the late Charles F. and Doris B. (Chartier) Healy. He was the stepson of Ruth M. (Smith) Healy. Mr. Healy worked for various manufacturing firms and for HUD in maintenance and construction for many years. He moved to Jamestown 18 years ago.
He loved Jamestown, where he had a small boat and was an avid fisherman. He also was a great lover of golf. He belonged to the Rhode Island Salt Water Anglers Association and the Jamestown Stripers Club.
He leaves his daughter, Colleen K. Healy of Pawtucket, his sister Maureen (Healy) Miller and her husband Gerald of North Attleboro, Karen J. Healy of Attleboro, his stepmother Ruth M. Healy of Attleboro, His granddaughters, Amanda and Brianna Healy of Huntsville, Ala., and their mother Brooke Healy, several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be Friday, Feb. 15, in the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home 68 Broadway, Pawtucket, from 4 to 6 p.m. There will be a brief prayer service at 5:54 p.m. Burial will be private.
