Largess to speak on being a sailing coach
The final talk in the Friends of the Jamestown Library Sailing Lecture Series will be today, Thursday, March 27, at 7:30 p.m. The speaker will be Matt Largess and he will talking about his experience coaching at the high school and collegiate level.
Largess, a Jamestown resident, has 15 years experience coaching high school sailing, five years each at La Salle Academy, Rogers High School, and North Kingstown High School. Currently he is coaching at Providence College, which was mentioned as one of the up and coming sailing teams in the country in the June 2004 issue of Sailing World magazine.
He will share his experiences of teaching and learning from the next exciting generation of competitive sailors. Adults and young adult are invited to enjoy this event, which is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
