TOWN HALL RECORDS
      Building permits John Albaugh received a permit March 21 to strip and re-roof a house at 14 Grinnell St., work estimated to cost $6,421. Mark and Emily Devey received a permit March 25 to replace five windows and a door, renovate a kitchen and bathroom, and resurface interior walls, electric and plumbing as necessary at 67 Cole St., work estimated to cost $25,000.

POLICE LOG
      Drunk driving charged Kerri L. Tonlan, 36, of West Warwick was charged March 21 with first offense drunk driving and refusal to take a Breathalyzer test after police responded to a motor vehicle accident. The car Tonlan was driving was involved in the accident on Route 138 westbound, police said.

FIRE AND EMS
      7 p.m., March 20, All units responded to a drill at the fire station on Narragansett Avenue. 11:17 a.m., March 21, Ladder 1, Car 3, Engines 1, 2 and 3 were dispatched to a chimney fire on Westwood Road. EMS runs 7:02 p.m., March 16, EMS 1 was dispatched to East Shore Road for a medical emergency and drove a patient to Newport Hospital.

FOR THE RECORD
      In last week's article about pet-assisted therapy, the name of the Golden Retriever, Iko, dubbed after the traditional New Orleans song, "Iko, Iko," was misspelled. Also, Gary Cournoyer created a one-credit course for Salve Regina University, not the Community College of Rhode Island, as stated.
