Phillip H. Hunt, 53
Phillip H. Hunt, 53, of Jamestown died on March 22, 2008 after a long illness.
Born on June 12, 1954 in Brookline, Mass., Phil attended Lynnfield High School before entering the Navy in 1972. He worked in the construction industry, and was also a long-time employee of the Narragansett Café and Point Judith Liquors. An avid golfer, Phil was a member of several leagues in Jamestown and participated in many fundraising efforts in the Jamestown and South County areas.
Phil leaves a father, Ernest Hunt, from Lanconia, N.H., and a sister, Nancy Porosky and her children Abby and Tim from Gilmanton, N.H. He was predeceased by his mother, Marjorie Hunt and his brother-in-law Roger Porosky. He also leaves a wonderful circle of friends from Jamestown that were like family to him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 12 p.m. at the Portuguese American Citizen's Club.
