A library discard book sale at the Jamestown library will be held on Saturday, April 19, through Monday, April 21 during library hours. Some much-loved volumes will be available at great prices. The library has had to weed out more than 800 fiction and nonfiction titles in the last year to make room for new materials. More ... More ... In celebration of National Arbor Day, the Jamestown Tree Preservation and Protection Committee will be planting a tree beside the Jamestown Museum at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 25. The tree is a dogwood, cornus x rutcan Constellation. This cross between the native dogwood and the Japanese dogwood was developed by Rutgers University of New Jersey to resist dogwood anthracnose.
