Saturday's annual Island Shoreline Cleanup can be summarized simply: They came. They saw. They picked up 20 cubic yards of litter - enough to fill a big dumpster. Some 60 dedicated souls turned out on the beautiful morning to make a clean sweep of our island. They bagged nearly two tons of trash and our beaches certainly look much better for their efforts.
