Walk or bike to school tomorrow

The Jamestown Schools have been celebrating Bike to School Week May 12 to 16, which will end tomorrow, Friday, May 16 with Zero Car Day.

All students, parents, and staff are encouraged to bike, walk, or ride the bus to and from school. Consider carpooling, parking in a convenient location, and walking or biking to the schools. All walkers and bikers will be entered into a raffle for fun prizes. These biking events are sponsored by Rolling Agenda with the support of the Greenways Alliance of RI. Friday, May 16, is also national Bike to Work Day.

Join thousands of commuters all over the country in hanging up car keys and riding a bike to work, or drive to a convenient parking location and bike or walk the rest of the way. Visit bikeprovidence.org, which has a list of convenient bike paths throughout Rhode Island.
