Rotary flapjacks went like hotcakes

The Jamestown Rotary Club hosted its 44th Annual May Breakfast last week and, by all accounts, everyone had a great time. Members of the Jamestown Rotary Club wish to thank all of its volunteers and supporters for another successful annual May Breakfast 2008.

In particular, we would like to thank all of the sponsors, including: Nicholas F. Morenzi of Babcock & Helliwell Inc.; Baker's Pharmacy of Jamestown Inc.; Brenda L. Calkins, Financial Advisor of Bank of America Investment Services, Inc.; Basler De- Cubellis Chiropractic; Conanicut Marine Services, Inc.; Rep. Bruce J. Long; McQuade's Marketplace; Normand Law, Ltd.; The Secret Garden; Trattoria Simpatico; and Winthrop B. Reed, Jr. of Stearns Farm Real Estate.

In addition, special thanks to the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and others who assisted us at the breakfast.

A portion of the proceeds of this year's Breakfast will be used to purchase a portable pitching mound for use by the Jamestown Youth Baseball Association, as well as to support other causes supported by the Rotary Club.

Thank you to all and we look forward to serving you another fine breakfast in 2009! Charlie Normand Jamestown Rotary Chairman of May Breakfast
