Fishing in the tropics on tap this weekend
      This week, on Kettlebottom Outdoor Pursuits, the team heads off on a tropical getaway. The first stop is the Hawaiian island of Oahu to meet with "Louie the Fish." Though his passion is for bonefish on the flats, Louie occasionally enjoys some red-hot freshwater action on Wilson Lake.

Theatre group to hold annual meeting
      The Jamestown Community Theatre (JCT) will hold its annual meeting on Wednesday, June 4, at 7 p.m. It will be held at a residence located at 17 Intrepid Lane. The meeting is open to all current members of JCT. New board members will be elected and outgoing members will be thanked. The JCT wants all members to come share ideas, enthusiasm and concerns.

Artists needed for CIAA show at Town Hall
      Today, Thursday, May 29 is the drop-off date for the new CIAA art show, "Here Comes Summer - All Media." Artwork may be dropped off at Town Hall from 12 to 4 p.m. The show will open June 5, with a reception including cash bar and catering by Trattoria Simpatico. The show runs until July 24.

Kids book club to read 'Little Bird'
      The next meeting of the Child and Parent book discussion group will be on Tuesday, June 3 at the Jamestown library. Students in grades 4 to 6, along with their parents will be discussing "Each Little Bird That Sings," by Deborah Wiles.
