William H. Winslow III, 74
William H. Winslow III, 74, of Mast Street, died May 21, 2008. He was the beloved husband of Sandra (Cianfarani) Winslow for 33 years.
Born in Fall River, Mass., a son of the late William H., Jr. and Eleanor M. (Lomas) Winslow, he was a resident of Jamestown for 33 years.
After completing his apprenticeship at Brown & Sharpe Manufacturing Company, he enjoyed a long career in the machine tool industry. He was a member and past president of the Jamestown Rotary Club. He enjoyed skiing and sailing; and had been a volunteer for the South Kingstown Senior Center. He was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Jamestown.
Besides his wife, he leaves his two children, William H. Winslow, IV and Joy Ann Winslow both of Somerset, Mass. and their mother Doris Winslow; two brothers, Winton Winslow and his wife Muriel of Paso Robles, Cal. and Gordon J. Winslow of Mexico; his mother inlaw, Beverly Cianfarani of Jamestown; and two grandchildren, William and Jared Winslow. He was the brother of the late Robert L. Winslow.
The funeral was held Saturday at Cedar Cemetery in Jamestown.
