Church prepares for annual fest June 21
Central Baptist Church's annual June Festival, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, June 21, promises to offer something for everyone.
People interested in an evening of fine dining, a sunset cruise, a Red Sox baseball game, a day of kayaking, a round of golf or shopping in Wickford should visit the festival's silent auction.
Saturday, June 14, will be the final day for dropping off donations for the festival. Pickup of large donations also is available by calling the church office at 423-1651.
A live auction will begin at 11 a.m. Items will include antique and more contemporary pieces of furniture, a Dewalt radial arm saw, computer desks, and paintings and prints.
The festival also will offer a flea market, a garden center, and a country store.
Also featured during the festival will be framed prints by Fasano Photo Graphics, as well as Herbalife fitness and nutrition products.
Great food will be served, including clam chowder, hamburgers, hotdogs, and strawberry shortcake. A variety of baked goods also will be on sale.
There will also be a raffle, with prizes that include an afternoon sail for four aboard a 41-foot cutter and Columbian pottery. Tickets are on sale for $1 each or $5 for a book of six.
Central Baptist Church is located at 99 Narragansett Ave.
