Library to present all age musical program

The Jamestown Philomenian Library is proud to present "The Band Called Music" on Monday, June 30, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the library meeting hall.

This free educational musical program is for an audience of all ages.

"The Band Called Music" is an instrumental trio influenced by th e entire world of music. They perform the sounds of jazz, but traces of hip-hop, rock, funk, Latin, fusion, and classical also come into play. The outcome, although never created the same way twice, is a vast expanse of music.

The band includes percussionist Aaron Cote, a Jamestown native, who holds a bachelor's degree in music performance from Butler University's School of Music.

Guitarist Mike Simonelli of North Kingstown is currently attending Berklee College of Music in Boston working towards a degree in music therapy.

Bassist Pat Swoboda is an experienced jazz bassist, who will continue his classical training at New York University in Manhattan while still frequenting concerts of every genre.

This program is generously sponsored by the Friends of Jamestown Philomenian Library.
