The Jamestown Recreation Department will offer two new fitness classes for teens starting Monday, July 7, at the Recreation Center, 41 Conanicus Ave. All teens entering grades 7 through 12 are invited to participate. Both classes will be taught by Jamestown resident and personal trainer Jason Vieira.

Classes will run for two sessions; Session I is from July 7 to 31 and Session II will run Aug. 4 to 29.

"Fitness FUNdamentals" will meet on Mondays from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Recreation Center. This class is designed to offer teens the road map to a long, healthy life. Each class will promote fun and fitness through a variety of games, obstacle courses, and exercise. This is a free program but space is limited and registration is required.

"Youth Sports Performance Camp" will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 to 5 p.m. This class provides age and skill appropriate sport-specific conditioning programs designed to develop strong, fast, agile, well balanced, injury free athletes. Each eight class session is $80 and teens are welcome to register for both. Space is limited and registration is required.
