Calcina receives master's degree

Justine Calcina, daughter of Phil and Hanne Calcina of Jamestown, received a master's degree in regional planning from the University of Massachusetts Amherst on May 23.

Donnelly graduates from Bates

Kathryn A. Donnelly of Jamestown, was among 440 graduates to receive a bachelor's degree May 25 from Bates College during the college's 142nd commencement exercises.

Donnelly graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology.

Evans become chiropractor

Allison Evans, formerly of Jamestown, recently graduated from Life University with the degree of Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine.

Goldstein graduates from Colby-Sawyer

Jill Goldstein of Jamestown received her bachelor's degree May 10 from Colby- Sawyer College. She is currently the program coordinator with the Jamestown Parks and Recreation Department.

Greene receives theater scholarship

Travis Greene, a recent North Kingstown High School graduate, is the recipient of a 2008 Excellence in Theatre Performance Scholarship. The $800 scholarship, awarded by the Educational Theatre Association, and its student honorary division, the International Thespian Society, was presented on Saturday, June 28, at the 2008 International Thespian Festival, on the campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Greene is a member of North Kingstown High's Thespian troupe 6945, directed by Kate Arthur.

Hamilton on dean's list

Laura Hamilton of Jamestown was named to the Dean's List of distinguished students for the spring 2008 semester at Roanoke College.

Hirsch receives degree

Matthew Hirsch, son of Paul and Cynthia Hirsch of Jamestown, graduated from Colby College on May 25.

Hitt on dean's list

Meaghan Hitt was named to the dean's list for the spring 2008 semester at Northeastern University.

Roger Williams University names three to dean's list

Three Jamestown residents were named to the spring 2008 dean's list at Roger Williams University. They are Keith Jobin, a senior, Vladimir Evtimov, a junior, and freshman Patricia Rushton.

Koster graduates from Georgetown

Kathleen Koster graduated cum laude May 17 from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
