The law firm of Correira & Iacono LLP has announced that they will give a $1,000 scholarship to a student who intends to pursue a legal career and will be either a high school senior this fall or is already in college.

Applications will be accepted now through Sept. 12 and the winner of the scholarship will be announced shortly thereafter.

Applications should include the following: a copy of the applicant's college/high school transcript; a list of all extracurricular activities, community activities, jobs and internships participated in while in college/high school, including years and noteworthy positions held; a written statement, maximum 1,000 words in length, explaining the applicant's reason for deciding to pursue an education in law or a legally related field.
