Successful tourney benefits food bank

On July 22, the Tuesday Jamestown Women's Golf League had a very successful and fun golf tournament to raise money for the Rhode Island Food Bank. In addition to food that was collected, we were able to present a check for $1,411 for this worthy cause.

Donations for various items and gift cards were received from the following: Dunkin Donuts (Wickford & Boston Neck Road), Schartner Farm, Wickford Package Store, Green River Silver, The Hour Glass, Wilson's of Wickford, Beauty and Bath, Blue Hydrangea, Village Reflections, Seaport Tavern, Different Drummer, Crystal Spring Water, Baker's Pharmacy, Jamestown True Value Hardware, Cathryn Jamieson Salon, Secret Garden, and Conanicut Marine. These items were raffled off to purchasers of "Mulligans".

Even people who were not able to participate sent in cash donations. Two members of the staff of Jamestown Golf Course donated. A special thank you to Anna Auld who helped immensely with soliciting on Jamestown, filling in gift bags and making beautiful floral arrangements for our luncheon tables. Kudos to all! Jane Rawlings and Connie Rainone, Chairpersons
