Procuring alcohol for

minors charged

David J. Gladding, 21, of 18 Bay St., was charged July 26 with procuring alcohol for minors and a violation of a no contact order.

According to police, Gladding turned himself in to police after being notified there was a warrant issued for his arrest based on an underage-drinking gathering he allegedly hosted earlier in the evening.

Gladding was held overnight at the police station and a pretrial conference was scheduled for Aug. 8 at Newport District Court, police said.

Underage possession

of alcohol charged

• Three female juveniles were charged July 25 with underage possession of alcohol after officers responded to a noise complaint on Bay Street and observed the three with the alcohol, police said.

The juveniles were released to their parents and the case was referred to Family Court, police said.

• Ross Bohensky, 20, of 74 Stern St. and Alexander Gorzewski, 18, of North Kingstown, were charged July 23 with underage possession of alcohol after officers discovered an underage drinking party at the Stern Street address while investigating a neighbor's complaint of a loud party, police said.

Both men are due to appear Aug. 8 in Newport District Court, police said.

Fugitive from justice

Robert Barcellos, 29, of 77 Riptide St., was charged July 26 with driving on a suspended license and being a fugitive from justice during a routine traffic stop on Tashtassuc Road, police said.

Barcellos was taken into custody and transported to ACI, police said.

He was scheduled to appear July 28 in Newport District Court, police said.
