Multiple charges filed

Evan O'Neil, 19, of 37 Clinton Ave., was charged Aug. 9 with unlawful drinking, misrepresentation of age by a minor, and disorderly conduct after a police car was flagged down on Narragansett Avenue by a restaurant employee who complained of a patron causing a disturbance, police said.

O'Neil was held overnight at the police station where he was arraigned and a pre-trial hearing was scheduled for Aug. 15 at Newport District Court.

A Jamestown juvenile was charged Aug. 9 with drunk driving and refusal to take a Breathalyzer test after he was stopped by police for erratic driving and driving at night without headlights, police said.

The case was referred to Family Court, police said.
