Men's chorus show coming Aug. 30

The Men's Chorus of Jamestown will present its 16th annual summer concert on Saturday, Aug. 30, at 7:30 p.m.

The 20-member chorus is directed by founder B.J. Whitehouse, and will feature an eclectic blend of different musical styles.

The concert is billed as "The Men's Chorus Greatest Hits!" It has been culled from previous concerts with a few new twists. One of the highlights of the program will be an arrangement of the jazz standard "When Sunny Gets Blue," by Sam Bari. This arrangement was written for the Men's Chorus.

The concert will be at the Recreation Center across from the East Ferry waterfront at 41 Conanicus Ave.

Tickets are available at the door at $5 for general admission. Call 423-1574 for ticket reservations and for further information check the web page at www. jamestownri.com/ifdss/men.
