Students earned Earth Day essay award
With great pride, I would like to congratulate the students of last year's 5-3 for independently earning the Earth Day essay contest award of "Best Class" from the Audubon Society of Rhode Island.
The students were asked to reflect on "How My Family's Transportation Affects Global Warming" and communicate their ideas in an essay and poster. Along with their congratulatory letter, they were awarded a book and CD entitled "Weather," and a very special book about global warming in Rhode Island.
The following students participated and were awarded this honor: Ian Archibald, Allison Baldwin, Owen Baertlein, Jarrett Brazil, Emily Brewer, Brianna Bryer, John Chamberlain, Claire Murphy Gara, Samara Ayvazian Hancock, Mason Kelly, Zachary Nerohna, Jacquelyn Tantimonaco, and Natalie Toland.
I am confident these students will continue to make our Jamestown community proud as they progress and grow in their sixth grade year.
