Computer help by appointment at library
The Jamestown library has an ongoing program of computer assistance to members of the Jamestown community.
Monday mornings from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Robert Edgar, a retired information technology specialist, is available at the library to provide help with questions regarding home computers. From basic information on getting started with a computer, signing up for an e-mail account to downloading software, Edgar can guide people through most problems.
Beginning Monday, Sept. 8, the service will be available by appointment only. Those with computer questions will need to call the library by the previous Friday and a meeting time on Monday will be reserved.
When making an appointment, tell the staff what program or problem is being experienced so Edgar can better prepare for the appointment.
For more information or to make a reservation, call the library at 423-7280.
