Cub scouts host sign-up event

Jamestown Cub Scout Pack 1 will hold its annual Cub Rally at Fort Getty on Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Anyone interested in joining Cub Scouts or learning more about the pack should attend this event. Volunteers from the Pack will be on hand to answer any questions about Cub Scouts and to register new members.

The cost to join is $25 for the year and includes a subscription to Boys Life magazine. In addition to signing up new members, the Pack will provide dinner for all who attend. Current members of Pack 1 do not need to re-register but are welcomed and encouraged to attend.

In Cub Scouting, boys and their families have fun and adventure in a program that builds character and instills values. Cub Scouting embraces the values of citizenship, compassion, cooperation, courage, faith, health and fitness, honesty, perseverance, positive attitude, resourcefulness, respect, and responsibility. These values come to boys in all parts of the Cub Scout program—all while they're having a great time with their friends and families.

For more information about the rally or any aspect of Cub Scouts, contact Bill Pratt at 423-1698 or JamestownPackOne@cox.net.
