Ecla W. Waugh, 83

Ecla W. (Getchell) Waugh, 83, of East Bridgewater, Mass., died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008 at Blue Hills Alzheimer's Care Center in Stoughton, Mass. She was the wife of the late Lewis A. Waugh, Sr.

She was born, raised and educated

in Winterport, Maine, daughter of the late Harold and Edna (Pooler) Getchell. She had been a resident of

East Bridgewater for over 30 years and retired in 1995 from the New England Art Company in Abington.

She enjoyed knitting, gardening and traveling with her husband, but what she enjoyed the most was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, LuAnn Botelho of Jamestown, Lewis Waugh, Jr. of Dunnellon, Fla., Juanita Edwards, Norma Waugh, Gaynol G. Waugh Sr., Pernell Waugh, Sr. all of East Bridgewater; a sister Edna Kazules, 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, greatgreat grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Dwight D. Waugh Sr., grandmother of the late Lewis A. Waugh, and sister of the late Beatrice Holmes, Harold Getchell Jr., Owen, Vernie, Roland, Melvin and Floyd Getchell.

A memorial gathering was held in the Conley Funeral Home, Brockton, Mass. on Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Blue Hills Alzheimer's Care Center, Activities Dept., 1044 Park St., Stoughton, MA 02072.
