Garden events start off fall season

Blithewold celebrates gardeners and local growing at its eighth annual Fall Gardener's Day, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. rain or shine.

Visitors can enjoy Blithewold's 33 acres of waterfront gardens, lawns, and trees while attending workshops and shopping for plants, herbal products and crafts. Snacks and drinks will be available for sale, but attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch, blankets, and chairs. A raffle drawing will take place at 1 p.m.

This event is $5 for members of Blithewold, and $10 for nonmembers. Pre-registration is not required. Call 253-2707, ext. 16 for more information.
