Philip J. Yorkery, 63
Philip J. "PY 14" Yorkery, 63, of Pemberton Avenue, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008, at home. He was the son of the late William T. and Helen (Powers) Yorkery. He was the stepson of the late Catherine (Stone) Yorkery.
Born in Providence, he lived in Narragansett and Jamestown. He worked for Anson Jewelry, Nyman Mfg. and wasemployed by the Rhode Island Department of Transportation for 25 years.
He is survived by two brothers, William E. Yorkery and his wife Mickey, of North Kingstown; John P. Yorkery and his wife Joan of Clearwater, Fla.; a niece Colleen and her husband Richard Blackwood, a grand-niece Hannah of Saunderstown; a nephew, Ryan Yorkery and his wife Berkeley of Durham, N.C. He was the uncle of the late Kathy and Billy Yorkery.
He enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Portuguese American Citizens' Club in Jamestown. He was a loyal fan of the Rhode Island Reds hockey team when they played at the Rhode Island Auditorium.
His funeral was Tuesday from the Frank P. Trainor and Sons Funeral Home, Warwick. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
