Thanks for support during treatment
I have confronted a lot over the past year. I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, went through two abdominal surgeries, countless blood tests, and six rounds of chemotherapy. But, I came through with flying colors thanks to the support of my friends, family, neighbors, and my Jamestown School family (students, parents, faculty and staff). Never once did I think that cancer had a chance.
Recently, I walked in the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition's first annual "Walk to Break the Silence on Ovarian Cancer." Beside me were my teammates, "The Chemo Sabes." Through the pouring rain we walked side by side, just as we did for the past year. I thank them from the bottom of my heart as we have stood together to personify strength, courage, hope, and faith...with a whole lot of laughter thrown in there, too.
