TOWN HALL RECORDS
      Building permits Mr. and Mrs. Neale received a permit Sept. 16 to erect a tent from 4:30 to 6 p.m., Sept. 26 at the Neale Farm on Weeden Lane, work estimated to cost $825. Mary Gayron and Phil Bryan received a permit Sept. 16 to rebuild a damaged master bedroom deck at 150 East Shore Rd., work estimated to cost $8,000.

POLICE LOG
      Driving on suspended license charged Adam C. Trust, 25, of Newport, was charged Sept. 17 with driving with a suspended license after police recognized him from a previous incident. Police knew his license was suspended. He was stopped at the eastbound Route 138 toll plaza, police said.

FIRE AND EMS RUNS
      9:22 a.m., Sept. 16, Car 1, Ladder 1, Engines 1 and 3 answered a false alarm on Lincoln Street. 12:10 p.m., Sept. 17, Special Services 1 was sent to Southwest Avenue for a smoke scare. 3:24 p.m., Sept. 20, Car 2 responded to a false alarm on North Main Road.
