Driving on suspended

license charged

Adam C. Trust, 25, of Newport, was charged Sept. 17 with driving with a suspended license after police recognized him from a previous incident. Police knew his license was suspended. He was stopped at the eastbound Route 138 toll plaza, police said.

An arraignment was scheduled for Oct. 3 at Newport District Court, police said.

Drunk driving charged

Sarah R. Carriere, 25, of Exeter, was charged Sept. 15 with second offense drunk driving with a blood alcohol level between .08-.10 after she was stopped for erratic operation of a vehicle on Route 138 westbound, police said.

A pre-trial hearing was scheduled for Oct. 3 at Newport District Court, police said.
