TOWN HALL RECORDS
      Building permits Red and Natalie Wright received a permit Oct. 2 to replace a garage with a larger garage and home office at 20 Whittier Rd., work estimated to cost $130,000. Lewis W. Kitts received a permit Oct. 3 to install seven new windows, a front door, and sheet rock for three rooms at 33 Fowler St., work estimated to cost $2,500.

FIRE AND EMS RUNS
      7:35 a.m., Sept. 30, Car 1, Ladder 1, Engines 1 and 2 answered a false alarm on Blueberry Lane. 3:05 p.m., Sept. 30, Cars 1 and 3, Ladder 1, Engines 1 and 2 responded to an electrical wiring/ equipment problem on Conanicus Avenue.

POLICE LOG
      Suspended license charged • John DiBenedetto, 22, of Medford, N.Y., was charged Sept. 26 with driving with a suspended license after police stopped him on Route 138 for driving at night without lights, police said. A pre-trial hearing was scheduled for Oct. 10 at Newport District Court, police said.

      Flanagan A daughter, Mariah Haley Flanagan, was born Sept. 9, 2008, at Tipler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Amber (Wika) and Brandon J. Flanagan, currently stationed at Naval Station Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Grandparents are LeAnn Allen of Olathe, Ks., Brian Wika of Lake Mary, Fla., Catherine Piwoni of Davie, Fla.

Swiggart-Wayt marry in New Hampshire
      On Sept. 13, 2008, Carolyn C. Swiggart of Darien, Conn. and John Wayt, III of Jamestown were married at Tamworth, N.H. The Rev. Thomas Cleveland, a family friend, performed the Episcopalian ceremony at the Wonalancet Union Chapel. A reception followed at Kilmarnock, the summer home of the Wayt family.
