      Fred Bartlett received a permit Oct. 14 to re-roof a building, install three skylights, and patch interior plaster at 31 Columbia Ave., work estimated to cost $7,200. Peter and Judith Twombly received a permit Oct. 15 to reroof a shed at 43 Marine Ave., work estimated to cost $850.

FIRE AND EMS RUNS
      Fire runs 3:26 p.m., Oct. 14, Car 1, Ladder 1, Tanker 1, Engines 1, 2 and 3 responded to a false alarm on Bayview Drive. 1:17 p.m., Oct. 15, Cars 1 and 3, Ladder 1, Tanker 2, and Engines 1 and 3 responded to a carbon monoxide alarm on Columbia Lane.

POLICE LOG
      Eluding police charged Danielle M. Delnero, 28, of Middletown, was charged Oct. 15 with eluding police after she drove through three towns while being pursued by police. The pursuit began in Newport, police said, and then Jamestown police picked up the chase on Route 138.

      Krider A son, Ian Hallie Krider, was born Sept. 6, 2008 at Newport Hospital to Jennifer (Trnik) and Daniel Krider of Jamestown. Grandparents are Karen and Hallie Krider of Jamestown, John Trnik of Westbrook, Conn. and Deborah and Bruce Bellingham of Coventry, Conn.
